The Tipton County Democratic Delegate Convention will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008. This will replace our regular monthly business meeting. We will open the doors of the Covington VFW Youth Center at 216 Washington Avenue (behind City Hall) at 11:00 AM, and the convention will start state-wide in all counties at 12:00 PM promptly. Based upon the results of the Tennessee Primary, Tipton County Democrats will be selected to represent Presidential candidates at the District 8 Democratic Delegate Convention on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Jackson, Tennessee. The exact location will be announced at the county convention. All Tipton County Democrats are welcome to attend the county convention, even if not interested in being selected. All attendees will vote on others and do not have to be up for selection. So please come out on February 9 to support your fellow Tipton County Democrats who wish to be a delegate! |
